BACKGROUND

EIILM has established its creditability as the provider of quality education in the field of management, in India and abroad. It has a strong team of competent faculty, which is drawn from both the academia & the industry. The faculty division is an excellent mix of doctorates and people with more than a decade of corporate experience. The faculties have published numerous books; have contributed articles in accredited national as well as international journals. The role of the EIILM teachers is to instill amongst its students in inculcating an attitude to probe question and challenge established perceptions till self-learning becomes a reflex action and second nature to them. Teaching at EIILM has been a matter of pre-renown attraction because of certain factors inbuilt in its system.  Prior to the commencement of formal classes for a particular course, review and orientation period for the course is arranged. Moreover students are provided with Courseware.  The purpose of courseware is to improve planning, implementation and self-evaluation of the students. The state of the art library in the Institute has everything one needs to enhance studies and help to do research on assignments and projects.  It contains around

• Six hundred Case Studies and Project Reports in hard & soft files .

Around one hundred computers connected with Broadband Internet connectivity are accessible in the Institute Premises. The Cafeteria provides delicious food for lunch and snacks for the students at a subsidized rate. Games Room is the place where the students can take a little bit of rest in their busy schedule. Caroms, Table Tennis are few of the Indoor Games facility present.

EIILM is the one and only A++ ranked B-school in Kolkata and West Bengal for consecutive 4 years(Business India).It is the 9th best B-School in East and Central India and 74th in all India.It is the next best B-School in Kolkata after IIM- Calcutta (CSR-GHRDC Survey 2008). Professors and academicians of international repute from all over the world regularly participate in the Seminars and Management Development Programs organized by EIILM. Seminar by Experts from the Corporate Field is organized every week.
