LIBRARY
The EIILM library
with its modern and updated collection of knowledge resources and
innovative information services is an integral part of the lives of
students, faculty and the research persons. The library has no
boundaries and encourages resource sharing.
The
objective of the EIILM Library is to impart knowledge.
The
library is well equipped consisting of the latest books, journals and
magazines. The resources of the library are predominantly related to
management and allied subjects. But this does not rule out its even
share of books on general topics of interest.
The
library has over 10,000 printed documents and it subscribes to 27
national journals
and 5 international journals. The library houses
books selectively chosen for reading and reference. The collection
includes resources relevant to teaching, learning, training, research
and consultancy needs of the
institute. About 35 printed, national and international periodicals
are subscribed so that the participants keep themselves
updated with the trends in the global market place. The strength of
the library are the publications by leading publishing
houses like Palgrave, Oxford, Blackwell, McGraw Hill etc. and regular
addition of current and
latest editions.
The
library functions on a comfortable annual budget and has
over the past years evolved into an excellent B-school library. The
library of the institute aims to be a leading research library in the
fields of management, economics and psychology. It aims to build a
comprehensive collection of back volumes of journals of these fields.
The library is
heading towards complete computerization and automation of all its
operations through LIBSYS. Membership with DELNET is also in the
pipeline to develop the information base, so that updated resource
material is also available to its users.
Services :
Xerox
facility managed by trained operator is available in the library on
payment basis.
Liaison with different libraries like British Council and American
Resource Center for share of information, books, association etc.
The library caters to the institute’s research and teaching
activities. However, it is open to other academic users for reference.
Visitors are requested to bring an official letter from their
Librarian.

Main Library :
Book
Section : This section of the library forms
the major part of the library. The collection
includes text books of all management related subjects in multiple
copies, good quality reference books. All the new editions of all the
textbooks are procured. Books of separate subjects are kept in
separate shelves to avoid inconvenience to the students. There is
good and sufficient collection of books on all major and minor
subjects like Essentials of Management, Finance, Human Resource
Management, Strategic Management, Management Ethics, Entrepreneurship,
Business Communication,
Production and Operations Management, TQM, Statistics, Marketing,
Organizational behavior, Psychology, Accountancy, Economics, Law,
Computers, Management Information System etc.
Journals :
The library subscribes to 30 national
and 5 international journals. Besides that the library also has access
to few online journals. Few important international journals are
Harvard Business Review, Fortune, Economist, Time, Span. Few important
national journal Economic and political Weekly, Capital Market,
Journal of Marketing, The Analyst, Indian Management. Vikalpa, Finance
India, Money Banking & Finance. All the back issues of the journals
are bound. The library holds a good collection of back volumes of the
journals for research people.]
Dissertations/Theses :
All the summer projects,
Dissertations and Theses prepared by the students are procured by the
library. These projects provide wide range of information about the
companies they have worked in. These are to be consulted within the
library premises only.
Annual Reports :
The library procures annual reports
from companies like Reliance, ITC, Titan, ONGC
Resources :
This section of the library has a
collection of reading materials for the research purpose. The key aim
is to build a fully updated resource centre so that seamless
information is available to the research person. A need based
collection of knowledge resources is being developed in lines with the
objectives and activities of the Institute in mind. Resources include
books, journals, audio visuals, reports
Online Databases
Books : There is a highly
selected collection of books for research purpose in the field of
management, economics and psychology. Besides, there are also many new
technical and reference books available in electronic form.
Business Ethics: Critical perspectives on business
and management by Alan Malachowski : The
price of the book is 31,000/- and is one of the best and priceless
books in the resource centre. The book is in 4 volumes. This
collection of articles on
Business ethics reflects the increasing
importance of the subjects. Furthermore, the contributions have been
specifically selected to explain how business ethics has come to
occupy a prominent position in our intellectual culture-and indeed,
why it deserves such pre-eminence.
The Bond and Money Markets : Strategy, Trading,
Analysis by Moorad Choudhry Provides a
comprehensive integrated and self contained analysis of the market and
its institutions. It is vital reading for anyone with an interest in

Journals :
There is a
separate section for journals that are to be used only for research
which are transferred from the main library. Apart from the journals
procured by the main library, some magazines/journals are hand picked
suppliers for advanced studies.
Reports : Human
development reports, India development Reports RBI bulletin are
procured and are updated.
CD : There is a good
collection of CDs, video cassettes in the research library.
