THE COURSE OF BMS (HONS)
he program of BMS (HONS) at EIILM is affiliated to WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, Kolkata.

The program targets to create a batch of people to CATCH THEM YOUNG (CTY), as referred by our Honorable Director, Dr. R. P. Banerjee. We at EIILM feel that the young have the potential and are actually befitting the next generation business.

The BMS (Hons) course is the study of Media Science and has become popular because of the applications in different fields. The course encompasses study of mass communication, journalism, film and cinema, radio and television, advertising and public relation, photography, writing and editing, marketing in mass media and stage production and direction. The syllabus includes both theoretical inputs with practices on short projects and video production. Career prospects are ample in private and public sector companies in advertising, press media, web media, electronic media, display media, event management and NGO communication. In fact, a bachelor degree in media science also forms the basis of pursuing higher studies and research in the field of media.

Corporate sectors today, look for people who not only have knowledge, but also the skills needed to manage various business operations. Specializations of these skills can be acquired through the BMS (Hons) program.
